Why
The textile industry we want
Textiles are among the largest contributors to environmental degradation. IMASUS treats that as a generative starting point — not just a problem to fix.
IMASUS Workshops
IMASUS App is the workshop platform for participants and facilitators developing new responses to large textile-industry challenges through the imagineering approach inspired by Diane Nijs.
About IMASUS
Why
Textiles are among the largest contributors to environmental degradation. IMASUS treats that as a generative starting point — not just a problem to fix.
How
A creative-leadership approach by Diane Nijs that moves teams through three design spaces — Inspiration, Ideation, Implementation — to reframe complex challenges into shared visions.
What
Workshops for young textile professionals in Zaragoza, Prato and Athens, backed by an open platform of materials, training modules and industry challenges.
The method
Materials, training and challenges weave through the imagineering steps into a shared vision and a set of concrete proposals.
Each IMASUS workshop brings interdisciplinary teams together to work on real sustainability challenges. Workshops are open to participants beyond the host school.

This workshop adapts the IMASUS Imagineering methodology to the Greek context, combining ancient craftsmanship and textile wisdom with contemporary sustainability strategies. Participants will explore how traditional Greek clothing systems can serve as functional models for future textile systems, collectively prototyping new garment concepts that blend tradition, innovation, and sustainable design principles. Supported by the IMASUS structured toolkit and sustainable textiles database, this hands-on session activates a new way of thinking and designing, where traditional knowledge, material experience, and systemic innovation come together to shape the future of the fashion industry. This workshop is part of the FASHION FORWARD: Sustainable Fashion in Practice - a one-day event where designers, makers, and innovators explore how the wisdom of Greek craftsmanship and cutting-edge sustainable materials come together to shape the future of fashion.
