Group 4 — Reversible vest with insertable wool padding
Work by a participant group at the Design Days Free Workshop in Prato (23–24 May 2026), run with fashion designer Eva Di Franco. The group's sketches, patterns and notes were scanned from paper; the handwritten notes are in Italian and English.
The idea
A vest with two alternative outer shells, one in an algae-based option and one in wool, and an insertable padding. According to the annotations, the padding can be felted recycled wool in different colours or carded combing waste, and the construction uses wool binding, felted shoulder seams or a blanket stitch, and wool yarn embroidery.
