Description
PYRATEX® element 1 is a textile made from a blend of organic cotton and nettle that grows wild in the mountain forests of the Himalayas. Nettle cultivation has a very low environmental impact, as it requires no irrigation or and is based on regenerative farming that helps maintain soil fertility and local biodiversity.
What problem it solves
PYRATEX element 1 addresses the use of high-impact textile fibers by replacing them with nettle and organic cotton.
Interesting properties
The fiber is mechanically extracted from the plant’s stalk. It also has a positive social impact, providing additional income for local farmers.
