LignaTex

Fabric Forest produces different materials made from 100% paper yarn sourced from Swedish forests. They offer different materials such as LignaTex which can be braided, offering great variation and many possibilities. It gives a natural impression which is ideal for several uses. Other materials produced are; ArborTex, TerraTex, TimbraTex, and Braided String.The unique production technique used, replaces fossil-based products with renewable ones, helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions and mitigate climate change impacts associated with textile manufacturing.

Fabric Forest textiles, made from Swedish forest-based raw materials, offer a sustainable alternative to cotton and synthetic fibers. They help reduce reliance on water- and pesticide-intensive crops like cotton, and avoid the use of fossil-based materials. By using renewable, locally sourced wood, they also support forest stewardship and lower the carbon footprint of textile production.

These materials have a low carbon footprint of 1.89 kg CO2/kg fabric and requires only 417 litres of water per kg of fabric. This compares favourably to the nearly 10,000 litres of water required to produce one kilo of cotton.
